Word travels fast in Pewamo. We’d rather it travel well.
A village on the Ionia-Clinton county line. No subcontractors, no sales pitch, licensed and insured.
A village where the roofer’s name gets repeated at church.
Pewamo sits right on the Ionia and Clinton county line, minutes from the Fowler and Westphalia jobs we have been running for three years, and it works the way those towns work. Nobody here hires a contractor off an advertisement. They ask a cousin or a neighbor, and whatever that person says is the whole reputation. We would rather earn that slowly than buy attention, which is why we do not run pressure tactics and do not quote work a house does not need.
That is the company Andrew, Aaron, and Preston set out to build. They started Anchor to help their own community and to be honest about the work, and the plainest version of that is this: we tell homeowners straight up what they actually need, even when the honest answer is smaller than what they came in expecting. It costs us jobs. It has also filled our schedule.
Skill has to back that up or the honesty is worthless. We are certified installers for CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco, and we build to manufacturer spec in the places you will never inspect: the underlayment, the flashing at valleys and penetrations, and the attic ventilation balance that decides whether a roof gives you twenty years or forty. Mid-Michigan supplies plenty of testing between the snow load, the ice dams that form along the eaves, the wind coming across open ground, and the freeze-thaw cycle that loosens fasteners every spring.
Every bit of that is done by our own crew, licensed and insured. We never subcontract, so the people who quoted your Pewamo roof are the people standing on it, and we clean the property up before we go. Start with a free look, no obligation. We inspect the roof and siding properly, photograph what we find, and give you a written scope with a fair price. Repair where a repair will hold, replacement only where it is genuinely warranted.
Metal roofing, shingle roofing, roof repair, siding installation and replacement, storm and hail restoration with the insurance paperwork handled, gutters, and commercial roofing each have a page of their own below. Different jobs, different pages. Pick one, or call and tell us what is happening at your place.
Three things we don’t compromise on.
These don’t bend for a bigger job or a tighter schedule. They’re how we’ve worked from the start, and they’re why people recommend us.
We never subcontract
Our name goes on every Pewamo job, so our own hands do the work. We never pass a project to a subcontractor, which means one company is responsible for the result and you always know who to call.
Honest, no upsell
You’ll hear the plain truth from us, even when it means a smaller job. If your Pewamo roof has life left in it, we’ll tell you to keep it and fix what’s wrong. Being honest about the work is the reason this company exists.
Certified and insured
You don’t have to take our word on quality. CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco have each certified our installers, which is four manufacturers vouching for how we put their products on. We’re fully licensed and insured as well.

Roofing and siding in Pewamo, your questions.
Before you call, here’s what most people in Pewamo want to know. Our project gallery shows how the finished work looks.
Do you serve Pewamo?
Yes, Pewamo is part of our regular territory. We work out of St. Johns across nine mid-Michigan counties, and the drive doesn’t change how we do the job: our own crew, licensed and insured, with no subcontractors.
What roofing and siding work do you do in Pewamo?
Roofs are a big part of it: metal and shingle installs, repairs on both, TPO, and roof ventilation. We also handle every common type of siding, gutter repair and replacement, and hail and wind damage. Tell us what’s happening at your Pewamo property and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s work we should do.
How do I get a price for my Pewamo project?
Reach out and we’ll schedule a time to see your Pewamo home in person. The people who would actually do the work inspect it, explain what’s going on, and follow up with a fair written price. There’s no cost for the look, and we don’t price jobs from pictures.
Do you handle storm and insurance work?
Yes. Hail damage repair, wind damage repair, and roof insurance claims are all part of our storm restoration work in Pewamo. You deal with one crew from the first inspection through the last repair, and we help with the claim so you aren’t juggling a contractor and an adjuster by yourself.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Licensing and insurance are the least you should expect from anyone working on your home, and we carry both. On top of that, we’re certified by CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco, and the crew on your Pewamo job is always our own.
How long does roofing or siding take in Pewamo?
A repair is often finished the same day we start. Bigger jobs, like a full roof or new siding, take a few days to a couple of weeks. Either way, we keep your Pewamo site clean while we work and let you know where things stand, so you’re never guessing.
