We’ll tell you whether the claim is worth filing.
Licensed, insured, never subcontracted. We tell you honestly what your home needs.

A storm claim is stressful precisely when you have the least patience for it, right after your roof has taken damage. Between the adjuster, the paperwork, and figuring out what’s actually covered, a lot of homeowners either overpay out of pocket or give up on a claim they’d have won.
We help mid-Michigan homeowners through roof and siding insurance claims: inspecting and documenting the damage properly, providing the detailed report your insurer needs, and walking you through the process. We’ve dealt with storm claims enough to know how to present real damage clearly, and we’ll always tell you honestly whether a claim is worth filing in the first place.
We handle roof insurance claims for homeowners and property owners across Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos, St. Johns, Grand Ledge, Owosso, and the surrounding mid-Michigan communities, nine counties around our home base in St. Johns. Wherever you are in that area, you get the same thing: a licensed, insured, quality-vetted crew that never subcontracts, four manufacturer certifications behind the work, and a straight answer about what your home actually needs. That last part is the reason Andrew, Aaron, and Preston started Anchor in the first place.

Roof Insurance Claims the way it should be done.
It starts with a free, no-obligation look at what’s actually going on. We don’t quote roof insurance claims over the phone or from a photo, we come out, inspect it properly, and give you an honest read on what your home needs. If a smaller fix will hold, we’ll tell you that. If it won’t, we’ll show you why, with pictures, so the decision is yours to make on real information.
Then our own crew does the work. We never subcontract roof insurance claims to a rotating cast of strangers, the people who quoted your job are the people on your property, which is how the details stay right from the first fastener to the final cleanup. As certified installers, we do the work to manufacturer spec, not the fast way, because that’s what makes it last and keeps your warranty intact.
And we build for Michigan. Snow load, ice, wind, and the freeze-thaw that punishes everything up here, we account for all of it in how we detail the work. When we’re done, we clean up after ourselves and walk you through what we did. You’re left with roof insurance claims you can stop thinking about, which is the whole point.
We won’t take your money for work your home doesn’t need. That’s the reason this company exists.
Homeowners choose us because we tell them the truth. We won’t take your money for work your home doesn’t need, and we won’t cut a corner you can’t see to win a job on price. That’s not a slogan, it’s why we’re certified by CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco, why we carry full licensing and insurance, and why so much of our work comes from neighbors who were told straight and treated fairly. When you’re ready, the first step is simple: a free look, an honest read, and a fair price in writing.

Done the honest way.

Straight answers about roof insurance claims.
No hedging. Here’s the plain version of what homeowners ask us most, and you can see finished work in our gallery.
How does a roof insurance claim work?
After storm damage, you file a claim with your insurer, an adjuster inspects the damage, and the insurer approves a scope of repair. We inspect and document the damage first so you know what you’re dealing with, provide the report your insurer needs, and can be present for the adjuster’s inspection to make sure nothing is missed.
Should I file a claim or pay out of pocket?
It depends on the extent of the damage and your deductible. If the covered damage significantly exceeds your deductible, a claim usually makes sense; for small, cosmetic damage it often doesn’t. We give you an honest assessment before you file so you can make the right decision.
Will you meet with my insurance adjuster?
Yes, we can be present when the adjuster inspects your roof. Having a contractor there who has already documented the damage helps make sure everything legitimate is accounted for, and it keeps the assessment grounded in what the storm actually did.
What if my claim is denied or underpaid?
It happens, sometimes because the initial inspection missed damage. If you have a legitimate claim that was denied or underpaid, thorough documentation is your best tool. We provide detailed reports and photos that clearly show the damage, which supports a re-inspection or supplement.
Do you handle both roof and siding claims?
Yes. Storms frequently damage both, and claims often cover both. We inspect and document the roof and the siding together so the full scope of storm damage is captured in one claim rather than leaving covered damage unaddressed.
Will you inflate the damage to get a bigger claim?
No, and we wouldn’t want to. Padding a claim is fraud, and it’s the opposite of how we work. We document the real damage accurately. That honesty is exactly why our reports hold up and why homeowners and adjusters trust them.
