Houses, barns, and outbuildings. Pompeii gets the same straight answer.
A small community in southeastern Gratiot County. House or outbuilding, you get the same licensed, insured crew.
The barn gets the same answer as the house.
Most calls out of Pompeii are not just about a house. There is a garage, a machine shed, a barn with a metal roof somebody put on in the eighties, and all of it is on the same property with the same weather working on it. We look at the whole place when we come out. Sometimes the house is fine and the outbuilding is the thing quietly rotting at the eave. We would rather tell you that than sell you a tear-off you did not need, and that has been the rule here since Andrew, Aaron, and Preston started the company.
It is a short drive from our St. Johns shop, so being out here is easy for us. That matters more than it sounds. It means we can get back quickly if weather moves in mid-job, and it means a follow-up visit is a favor rather than a logistics problem.
The work itself follows manufacturer specification. We are certified installers for CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco, and the certifications show up in the parts nobody photographs: underlayment, flashing worked properly into valleys and around penetrations, and the attic ventilation balance that decides whether a roof gives you twenty years or forty. Southeastern Gratiot County does not make it easy either, between the snow load, ice damming at the eaves, open-country wind, and the freeze-thaw that pulls fasteners loose over time.
Everything is handled by our own crew. We never subcontract, we are licensed and insured, and we pick up after ourselves before we pull out. Getting a number starts with a free look and no obligation attached. We inspect the roof and siding properly, take photos so you can see what we saw, and give you an honest read followed by a written scope and a fair price. Repair where a repair will hold. Replacement only where it is genuinely warranted.
Metal roofing, shingle roofing, roof repair, siding installation and replacement, storm and hail restoration with the insurance paperwork handled, gutters, and commercial roofing each have their own page below, since they are not the same job. Pick the one you came for, or call and describe what you are dealing with.
Three things we don’t compromise on.
A small repair gets the same standard as a whole-house re-side. This is what that standard looks like.
We never subcontract
Subcontracting is where a lot of roofing and siding jobs lose track of the details. We keep every Pompeii project in house with our own quality-vetted crew, so the standard we talked about at the start is the standard that gets installed.
Honest, no upsell
No pressure and no scare tactics. We show Pompeii homeowners what we found, explain what it means, and recommend only the work that’s warranted. People remember that, and a lot of our jobs come from them telling a neighbor.
Certified and insured
The warranty on new siding or shingles depends on how they were put on. We’re certified by CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco, and we install each product the way its manufacturer requires, so the coverage you paid for stays good. Our crew is quality-vetted, and the company is fully licensed and insured.

Roofing and siding in Pompeii, your questions.
Answers to the questions that come up most around Pompeii, with completed jobs to look through in our gallery.
Do you serve Pompeii?
Yes. If you’re within about 60 miles of St. Johns, you’re in our area, and Pompeii is. We never subcontract, so wherever you are in that radius, it’s our own crew on your job.
What roofing and siding work do you do in Pompeii?
Along with general roofing and siding, we do brand-specific siding work: LP SmartSide and James Hardie, which we’re certified on, plus Diamond Kote. Past that, it’s shingle and metal roofs, gutters, storm and insurance work, and commercial roofing. Call and tell us what your Pompeii building needs.
How do I get a price for my Pompeii project?
The price comes after we’ve been on site. Plenty of roof and siding problems look different up close than they do in a photo, so we come to your Pompeii property, inspect it properly, and only then write down what it needs and what it’ll cost. The visit is free, and you’re under no obligation.
Do you handle storm and insurance work?
Yes. Storm damage isn’t always obvious from the ground, so we get up on your Pompeii roof and look at the siding properly, then document what the hail or wind actually did. From there we make the repairs and help with the insurance claim if filing makes sense.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, fully licensed and insured, and certified by CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco. We never subcontract, so the crew on your Pompeii roof is our own, and the work is done to manufacturer spec, not the fast way.
How long does roofing or siding take in Pompeii?
Most repairs wrap up in a day. A full roof replacement or re-side runs from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the size of the job and what we find once the old material comes off. You’ll have a realistic timeline for your Pompeii home before anything starts.
