Wind Damage Repair by Anchor Siding LLC in mid-Michigan

Wind is the storm damage you can usually see, lifted or missing shingles, torn siding, flashing peeled back from a chimney. But even when shingles don’t blow off entirely, wind can break the seal that holds them down, leaving the roof vulnerable to the next storm without any obvious sign.

We repair wind damage on roofs and siding fast, because an opening in the roof is an invitation for the next rain. We re-secure and replace what the wind lifted, re-work loosened flashing, and check for the broken seals that don’t show from the ground, and we document it for insurance when the damage warrants a claim.

We handle wind damage repair for homeowners and property owners across Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos, St. Johns, Grand Ledge, Owosso, and the surrounding mid-Michigan communities, nine counties around our home base in St. Johns. Wherever you are in that area, you get the same thing: a licensed, insured, quality-vetted crew that never subcontracts, four manufacturer certifications behind the work, and a straight answer about what your home actually needs. That last part is the reason Andrew, Aaron, and Preston started Anchor in the first place.

Wind Damage Repair the way it should be done.

It starts with a free, no-obligation look at what’s actually going on. We don’t quote wind damage repair over the phone or from a photo, we come out, inspect it properly, and give you an honest read on what your home needs. If a smaller fix will hold, we’ll tell you that. If it won’t, we’ll show you why, with pictures, so the decision is yours to make on real information.

Then our own crew does the work. We never subcontract wind damage repair to a rotating cast of strangers, the people who quoted your job are the people on your property, which is how the details stay right from the first fastener to the final cleanup. As certified installers, we do the work to manufacturer spec, not the fast way, because that’s what makes it last and keeps your warranty intact.

And we build for Michigan. Snow load, ice, wind, and the freeze-thaw that punishes everything up here, we account for all of it in how we detail the work. When we’re done, we clean up after ourselves and walk you through what we did. You’re left with wind damage repair you can stop thinking about, which is the whole point.

We won’t take your money for work your home doesn’t need. That’s the reason this company exists.

Homeowners choose us because we tell them the truth. We won’t take your money for work your home doesn’t need, and we won’t cut a corner you can’t see to win a job on price. That’s not a slogan, it’s why we’re certified by CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco, why we carry full licensing and insurance, and why so much of our work comes from neighbors who were told straight and treated fairly. When you’re ready, the first step is simple: a free look, an honest read, and a fair price in writing.

Straight answers about wind damage repair.

No hedging. Here’s the plain version of what homeowners ask us most, and you can see finished work in our gallery.

What does wind damage to a roof look like?

The obvious signs are missing shingles, shingles curled or lifted at the edges, and flashing peeled back. The less-obvious, and more common, damage is broken seals: wind loosens the adhesive strip that holds shingles down without removing them, leaving the roof vulnerable even though it looks intact from the ground.

Is wind damage covered by insurance?

Usually, yes, wind is a standard covered peril on most homeowner’s policies. Whether it’s worth a claim depends on the extent of the damage and your deductible. We document the damage properly and help you decide whether filing makes sense.

How quickly should wind damage be repaired?

Quickly. Any opening, a missing shingle, lifted flashing, lets water in the next time it rains, and in Michigan the next weather is never far off. Fast repair prevents a manageable problem from becoming interior water damage.

Can wind loosen shingles without blowing them off?

Yes, and it’s one of the most overlooked forms of storm damage. Wind can break the sealant strip that bonds a shingle to the one below it. The shingle stays in place but is no longer sealed down, so it’s far more likely to blow off, and leak, in the next storm.

How much does wind damage repair cost?

It depends on how much of the roof or siding the wind affected. Replacing a handful of shingles is a small job; widespread damage or a compromised section is larger. If it’s an insurance claim, your cost is typically the deductible. We give you a clear picture up front.

Will you help with my wind damage insurance claim?

Yes. We inspect and document the wind damage thoroughly, provide the report your insurer needs, and walk you through the claim process. We handle storm claims regularly and make the paperwork side much easier to deal with.
