Hail Damage Repair by Anchor Siding LLC in mid-Michigan

Hail is the sneakiest kind of storm damage, because the worst of it is invisible from the ground. A hailstorm can bruise and fracture shingles, knock granules loose, and dent flashing and vents, damage that doesn’t leak today but shortens the roof’s life and opens the door to leaks a season or two from now.

We inspect and repair hail damage on roofs and siding across mid-Michigan, and we document it properly for insurance. We’ll show you exactly what the hail did, and if it didn’t do enough to warrant a claim or a repair, we’ll tell you that too. Honest is the only way we work.

We handle hail damage repair for homeowners and property owners across Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos, St. Johns, Grand Ledge, Owosso, and the surrounding mid-Michigan communities, nine counties around our home base in St. Johns. Wherever you are in that area, you get the same thing: a licensed, insured, quality-vetted crew that never subcontracts, four manufacturer certifications behind the work, and a straight answer about what your home actually needs. That last part is the reason Andrew, Aaron, and Preston started Anchor in the first place.

Hail Damage Repair the way it should be done.

It starts with a free, no-obligation look at what’s actually going on. We don’t quote hail damage repair over the phone or from a photo, we come out, inspect it properly, and give you an honest read on what your home needs. If a smaller fix will hold, we’ll tell you that. If it won’t, we’ll show you why, with pictures, so the decision is yours to make on real information.

Then our own crew does the work. We never subcontract hail damage repair to a rotating cast of strangers, the people who quoted your job are the people on your property, which is how the details stay right from the first fastener to the final cleanup. As certified installers, we do the work to manufacturer spec, not the fast way, because that’s what makes it last and keeps your warranty intact.

And we build for Michigan. Snow load, ice, wind, and the freeze-thaw that punishes everything up here, we account for all of it in how we detail the work. When we’re done, we clean up after ourselves and walk you through what we did. You’re left with hail damage repair you can stop thinking about, which is the whole point.

We won’t take your money for work your home doesn’t need. That’s the reason this company exists.

Homeowners choose us because we tell them the truth. We won’t take your money for work your home doesn’t need, and we won’t cut a corner you can’t see to win a job on price. That’s not a slogan, it’s why we’re certified by CertainTeed, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and Lomanco, why we carry full licensing and insurance, and why so much of our work comes from neighbors who were told straight and treated fairly. When you’re ready, the first step is simple: a free look, an honest read, and a fair price in writing.

Straight answers about hail damage repair.

No hedging. Here’s the plain version of what homeowners ask us most, and you can see finished work in our gallery.

How do I know if my roof has hail damage?

Often you can’t tell from the ground, that’s what makes hail dangerous. Signs include bruised or cracked shingles, bare spots where granules were knocked loose, dented gutters, flashing, and vents, and dings on siding. A proper roof-level inspection after a hailstorm is the only reliable way to know.

Is hail damage covered by insurance?

In most cases, yes, hail is a common covered peril on homeowner’s policies. Whether a specific claim is worth filing depends on the extent of the damage and your deductible. We document everything thoroughly and give you an honest read on whether a claim makes sense.

Does hail damage need to be repaired right away?

It’s not always an emergency the way an active leak is, but it shouldn’t be ignored. Hail-bruised shingles and granule loss shorten the roof’s life and lead to leaks down the road. Addressing it, and filing any warranted claim, before the damage worsens is the smart move.

What does hail do to a roof?

Hail fractures the shingle mat and knocks off the protective granules that shield the asphalt from the sun. Even when it doesn’t cause an immediate leak, that damage accelerates aging and creates weak points where leaks start later. On metal and flashing, hail leaves dents that can compromise seals.

Can hail damage siding too?

Yes. Hail can crack, dent, and puncture siding, especially older or more brittle material. We inspect siding along with the roof after a hailstorm, because storm claims often cover both, and damaged siding lets moisture into the wall just as a damaged roof lets it into the attic.

Will you help me file a hail claim?

Yes. We inspect and document the hail damage properly, provide the report your insurer needs, and walk you through the claim. We handle hail claims regularly and know how to present the damage clearly and honestly.
